I have read and tried many diets. This is the best 1. It is easy to follow and understand and explains why we get binge urges and what to do to avoid them. He identifies culprits to weight gain. He doesn't tell you that you have to eliminate anything completely but how to use the glycemic load index( more practical than glycemic index) to have a healthy balance. He also tells you what you should eat prior to and with starches to minimize their effect on blood sugar spikes.
