I got this book thinking it would be like Lynne Truss' "Eats, shoots, and leaves." Well, I was wrong. This is a much heavier tome. If, however, you start out and then give up saying it's too 'heavy,' I'd urge you to persevere. The last chapter, "Telling right from wrong," makes it all worthwhile. This chapter is easier to read and literally explains right from wrong using examples. It is indeed the thinking person's guide to writing in the 21st century and has a place in everyone's bookshelf.
