Outstanding overview of what astronomers have learned up to the date of publication. Not too much ancient history, not too much technical jargon, well explained, justified, reasoned. The best I've found so far. Full of confessions of how ignorant we remain. We can't even explain how planets were formed or why or how the "big bang" allegedly happened. Yes he cheerleads for taxpayer funding, exaggerates how "exciting" stuff is... but that is to be expected. A lot of what we have discovered is utterly useless since we cannot and likely never will travel to another star. Only a little bit of the global warming nonsense. Still it is extremely good and I may check it out again.
