This is the biography of Ezra Keats who wrote The Snowy Day. I found his life so interesting. Teachers could use this book, in the classroom, in so many ways. Keats' family life was influenced by anti-semitism and racism. He had many struggles but overcame them all to be one of the most influential children's writers of his time. Funny thing for me - when I was a child, I never noticed Peter's skin colour. I think like all children, I loved the fun of the snow and the illustrations. The Snowy Day is one book, I love to read, every winter. Check this book out to find out about the life of Ezra Keats!
