Be aware this book is written for dummy users of ipados13. I was given an iPad os17, my first iPad. My previous tablets were android. Too much related to the 13 has changed in the 17. The pictures and diagrams do not relate nor do buttons. The difference between Apple and my androids is too large and not relevant to this book. A dummy book on iPad iPadOS 17 is needed.Be aware this book is written for dummy users of ipados13. I was given an iPad os17, my first iPad. My previous tablets were android. Excellent book. I found this while looking for more info on Japanese pull saws. He has developed a system of jigs to assure perfectly straight cuts using flush cut Japanese pull saws. Ordinary Japanese flush cut saws will work but he has designed a special flush cut saw, Mirai 265, that works even better with his method. He gives a link to where to buy. Unfortunately they do not recognize ¨Marai 265¨. I did find something something similar on Amazpn after much searching. Find it by searching Amazon for ¨¨Zet"Saw Guide Best" Saw Set 265mm/175mm ¨. In this saw details I found this: ¨ Thickness: 0.50mm, Cutting Width: 0.66mm ¨.This may or may not be a problem but I did not follow up.
I am interested in Japanese pull saws in general and trying to make a purchase list covering my needs as well as fixtures and sawing techniques. This book is not helpful to me. It is more oriented to a beginner who lacks confidence in sawing technique and who has not yet begun to acquire saws or built a saw bench. I give it 4 stars although a beginner might rate it higher.Excellent book. I found this while looking for more info on Japanese pull saws. A well presented DVD set almost entirely on power tools with a few useful and interesting and useful projects shown in great detail. Very useful to a beginning woodworker but a little bit of previous experience/exposure would help.
On the matter of safety , there were two exposures of hands very close to the running saw blade, a super egregious one on a table saw and one on a band saw.
On the matter of de-rusting via electrolysis, although nothing totally incorrect was said I felt there should have been more detail but then perhaps I know too much of t5he subject. It was sufficient to generate interest but not enough detail to begin work without more research. I do agree that there no better method if properly done and if one uses lower currents for longer times.A well presented DVD set almost entirely on power tools with a few useful and interesting and useful projects shown in great detail. Basically this book takes a few pages from Paul Sellers amazing Commonworking website and it is a good book introducing several techniques but without all the space of a website . Paul Sellers does it more completely from raw beginner up to ready for the Masterclass. This author is huge on youtube all about power tools in the woodshop and this book reflects that focus. He does mention hand tools occasionally , as in a hand router for cleaning up tenons. Great value here but only for those using machines.

seems like it could have been described as gay rather than simply erotic thriller. It´s OK some explicit gay sex scenes but mostly a Murder Mystery, fairly well written. However I am not going to read the second half. the stuff about gay life and gay thinking is uninteresting.seems like it could have been described as gay rather than simply erotic thriller. I was expecting more. It was listed as one of the best science fiction books, a leader and a forerunner, not to be missed. I would not call it science fiction, some kind of fairy tale like fantasy. It is loaded with heavy handed platitudes overdone. I skipped the last chapter, having skimmed the penultimate. Definitely Young Adult, Very Young.I was expecting more. This book is not for woodworkers. It is a good general purpose coverage of 300 tools. Like other books that cover a broad range of tools it suffers from a problem. Basically it tells you the tool exists, however due to the broad coverage each description is woefully brief with critical information omitted. So it is a good start for the DIY beginner but further information, more specific research, is required for individual tools, at least in the areas where I have enough experience to comment. This book is not for woodworkers. I disagree with the above Booklist Review. I was disappointed in this ¨Ultimate Guide¨to tools. To me it fails this purpose even as a primer for the lowest level user. Many tools are covered but the descriptions are sketchy and incomplete. Further, it does not, as it claims, tell you which one to buy. A novice should beware that much is left unsaid, omissions are frequent, and in each and every case do more research before buying a tool or using it.I disagree with the above Booklist Review. This is a great book for the hand tool woodworker, a must read for the beginner yet informative for the somewhat advanced. Given that no two woodworkers will agree as to which tools are necessary/essential/required, my opinions vary somewhat, notably in saws and chisels. Nevertheless you would not go wrong following his advice cover to cover. His list of projects is very informative. He does not follow the common practice of teaching joinery in his projects.
In summary, I really liked this book and value his opinions. It should be one of the books you read in searching out and comparing different opinions. This is a great book for the hand tool woodworker, a must read for the beginner yet informative for the somewhat advanced.
