Braille is a system of writing, reading, and music notation for people who are blind or visually impaired. Louis Braille created braille at age 15 while studying at France's Institute for the Blind. Braille has survived the test of time, and is now adapted for languages worldwide. Braille is still a relevant and powerful literacy tool nearly 200 years after it was introduced.
