Fiction Featuring Periods for Period Poverty Awareness Week

May 12-18, 2025 is Period Poverty Awareness Week. According to the Alliance for Period Supplies website (linked below), "The Alliance for Period Supplies created Period Poverty Awareness Week to draw attention to the issue of period poverty and the negative impact it has on people who menstruate. We encourage everyone to join the movement and become advocates to help #endperiodpoverty – start a conversation about period poverty, host a virtual product drive, donate to the Alliance for Period Supplies or a local program, or do one of many other things, from right at home." Puberty is a powerful, personal, and emotional experience. In honor of Period Poverty Awareness Week, here is a list of stories featuring periods, puberty, and other mysteries of growing up. The titles on this list are geared toward children and tweens.
